CAMP HOPE CINCY ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Mission:

To programmatically provide underprivileged children and  their families with  spiritual, social, cultural, and educational experiences that will lead to greater quality of life chances in the world; a world that is being daily directed by rapidly changing technologies.

 

Terms:

Agree to a two-year term with the option of renewal for two consecutive terms; up to six years total.

 

Responsibilities:

Be knowledgeable of Camp HOPE Cincy’s mission, vision, services and events. Follow philosophical values and mission of the Lincoln Height Outreach Incorporated (LHOI).

 

 

Advise and support the LHOI Program & Services Director in forming policy, planning and execution. Assist the LHOI Program & Services Director by promoting community support for projects, and assist in planning and promoting the mobilization of financial and in-kind resources. Promote constructive relationships with community’s key individuals and agencies. Listen and respect diverse perspectives as part of the board’s commitment to inclusivity.

 

Assist in solicitation of gifts and grants from individuals, corporations and foundations. Attend, at a minimum, 1 of 2 meetings monthly. Participate in the grants review process. Participate in the creation and review of the strategic plan. Work collaboratively with other advisory board members, staff, consultants and volunteers. Provide advice on topics brought to the Advisory Board for resolution. Review Camp HOPE Cincy’s approved budget and provide input and recommendations on budget items to consider in the development of the next year’s budget.

 

Personal Characteristics:

Ability to listen, analyze, think strategically and creatively. Ability to work well with people individually and in a group. Ability to consider multiple viewpoints and to communicate Camp Hope’s perspective effectively with members and stakeholders.

 

Willingness to prepare for and attend meetings, and engage effectively and responsibly in discussions. Possess leadership skills, initiative and integrity, passion and interest in supporting Camp HOPE Cincy’s goals and objectives.
